[edit] Marine Dropship
General Overview: The Marine Dropship was designed to complete the main mission of deploying Starfleet Marines onto a battlefield swiftly and with protection.
Capable of carrying large number of well armed Marines to a hostile area, either from planet to starbase. Recover teams that have been deploy in hostile areas. Provide cover fire and fire support to ground units. Similar in designed to Danube-class runabout with some combat modifications and upgrades. The upgrades included a larger aft cargo door that lowers like a ramp for troop deployment or for delivery of two Argo Jeeps. Included modification was reinforced warp nacelles and underneath skin to protect from ground fire and rough terrain landings.
Dropship can carry two Argo Jeeps and 25 Marines or 50 plus Marines in addition to the crew. Crew may consist of two personnel up to eight personnel. Crew personnel could include Helmsman, Tactical, Medic, and Marine Support Fire Team.

[edit] Type 9B - Tactical Shuttlecraft
General Overview: The Type-9B Tactical Shuttle is a long-range craft capable of traveling at high warp for extended periods of time due to new advances in variable geometry warp physics. Design as a stealth recon or stealth combat missions shuttlecraft that is also capable of boarding operations in combat situations, but is well suited to perform any multi-mission tasks. Equipped with powerful Type-VI and Type-V phaser emitters, the shuttle is designed to hold its own ground for a long period of time if need to. Type-9B also equipped with jamming devices and a new design two-stage cloaking device. Type-9B had two mini auxiliary generators added for increase power needed for shields, phaser emitters, and cloaking device. Comfortable seating for four flight crew or two flight crew and six well armed Marines or Security detail is still achieved without sacrificing speed and maneuverability. The shuttle is equipped with a medium-range transporter and is capable of traveling through a planet’s atmosphere. With its ability to travel at high-warp speeds, the Type-9B has been equipped with a more pronounced deflector dish that houses a compact long-range sensor that further helps it in its role as a recon scout. The Type-9B looks like Type-11 but smaller in size to be used on smaller class ships unable to house Type-11. The Type-9B is still under design and consider classified by Starfleet Command.

[edit] Type 11T - Tactical Shuttlecraft
General Overview: With an ultimate goal towards creating a useful all-purpose shuttlecraft, the designers of the Type-11 Personnel Shuttle set out to create a craft that was equipped with all the systems of a starship within the shell of a relatively small shuttle. Allocation of the larger Danube-class runabout to starships in the field proved too costly, and with the expressed need by the Sovereign-class development team for a capable shuttle, the Type-11 was born. Its overall frame and components are a meshing of lessons learned in both the Type-9 and Danube-class vessels. Impressive shielding, several phaser emitters, micro-torpedo launchers and a capable warp propulsion system makes this shuttle capable of performing a multitude of tasks. Both the ventral and dorsal areas of the shuttle feature a new magnaclamp docking port that is capable of linking up to other ships similarly equipped. A two-person transporter and a large aft compartment with a replicator adds to the shuttles versatility. The end hope is that these all-purpose shuttles will replace the more specific-purpose crafts already stationed on starships, reducing the amount of space needed for shuttle storage in already-cramped bays. The Type-11 is now seeing selective deployment outside the Sovereign-class to further assess its capabilities in the field.
Upgrade description: The shuttle upgrade from original design to meet more tactical role for smaller class ships unable to produce a Delta Flyer and still needed the ability to carry larger number of crew for tactical missions. Shuttle’s phasers upgraded to stronger type and addition of two aft emitters. The need for improvement in shielding for tactical missions resulted in the use of the Delta Flyer’s unimatrix shielding. As additional need for improvements to with stand damage from ship base weapons the hull was given a parametallic plating taken from Delta Flyer’s design. Type 11T is smaller then Delta Flyer and capable of carrying larger crew.

[edit] Argo Shuttle
The Argo is a specialized shuttlecraft developed by Starfleet for ferrying cargo and vehicles between orbit and planetary surfaces when conditions preclude the use of transporters.
The shuttlecraft entered active service in 2378 and is currently seeing limited deployment in a limited number of heavy cruisers and explorer type vessels. The design is fairly conventional for a Starfleet shuttle with technology taken from existing shuttles. However, there are some differences with the Argo shuttle. The warp nacelles are more integrated with the body instead of extended from them (usually the norm for Federation shuttles.) This increases the protection on her nacelles. She also has folding winglets that helps the Argo during atmospheric flight. The big difference is the aft cargo dock that has room for the Argo, a ground based All Terrain Vehicle (ATV), an anti-grav vehicle for movement of cargo across both land and water, and two smaller anti-grav vehicles for individual purposes.
Like any other shuttlecraft, the Argo has the standard warp propulsion system, impulse engines, shields, phaser emitters, and two micro-torpedo launchers. Due to her size, she is not as fast or as maneuverable as other shuttlecraft.
